Hi! My name is Alex and I'm the owner of Seethrough Scenes! I'm from South Florida and I've been drawing since I could pick up a pencil. I've tried a bunch of different mediums, but acrylic painting has always been the most fun! My Instagram is littered with my work from drawing portraits, video game inspired artwork, and some acrylic and watercolor paintings over the years, leading up to where I am right now with my glass art!
Glass Paintings
Some of my favorite glass paintings to date. As of right now, I've made over 50 individual pieces, and I continue to create more everyday! Smaller pieces can take me a modest 5-7 hours, while other larger pieces, 11 by 17 inches like the Sesshomaru pictured, can take me 20+ hours to complete.
Phone Cases
I started customizing phone cases in January 2021, and I wish I would've started sooner! Although they pose their own challenges compared to glass paintings, the outcome is really gorgeous, and a piece of art you can carry in your pocket!
Palette Paintings
I had the idea to paint onto palette about a month ago after seeing a clear acrylic palette at my local craft store, and I couldn't wait to actually get my hands on it and see what it would look like! I'd honestly say that painting onto palettes is actually more difficult than painting on glass and phone cases, as the nature of glass painting involves scratching at the glass to redefine the line art, same goes for phone cases; but with acrylic, the surface is easily scratches and gets stained with paint bit that are very problematic to remove. None the less, I think these are more of an unconventional piece of artwork that someone who likes to display art along their walls, would love to have! I've only made two so far, as they take a great deal of time and patience to make, but I LOVE their outcomes!
